The Board of Selectmen is looking for community volunteers to serve on a Public Safety Building Committee. In August 2022 the Fire Station (29 South Street) had a condition assessment study done.
This study showed that the repairs to the station are estimated at 1.3 million dollars this does not include upgrades to the facility. The committee will be looking at the existing structures and making recommendations to the Board of Selectmen, this will include the current public safety buildings (Fire and Police), repairs and upgrades or a new facility to house all emergency services.
