Cheshire Emergency Alert System is an information tool, keeping residents safe and informed
In an event of an emergency, town officials issue alerts through CodeRED, a high-speed notification solution. The CodeRED system allows messages to be quickly delivered to targeted areas of Cheshire or to the Town as a whole.
No one should automatically assume that the Town emergency officials have your contact information. We urge all individuals and businesses to sign up by clicking on the CodeRED link here.. Those without internet access may call Town Hall at 413-743-1690 x. 18, Monday - Thursday from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. to supply their information over the phone. Required information includes first and last name, street address, city, state, zip code and primary phone number, additional phone numbers can be entered as well.
CodeRed gives those who want to be included an easy and secure method for inputting information. The data collected will only be used for emergency and non-emergency purposes such as storm warning, shelter in place alerts, amber alerts. Non-emergency notification will be for situations such as town meetings and community events. You have the option when signing up of only selecting emergency notifications.
