Drought Status Upgraded to Level 2

For Regions in Level 2 – Significant Drought 

Residents and Businesses:

  • Minimize overall water use;
  • Follow local water use restrictions, listed below;
  • Fix indoor leaks, such as from toilets, faucets, and showers, which result in more than 60 percent of indoor use; and,
  • For larger buildings and businesses, conduct water audits to identify areas of leaks and potential water conservation opportunities; 

Restrictions:  Nonessential outdoor water use is allowed on Monday before 9 a.m. and after 5 p.m.

Nonessential outdoor water use is defined as:

1.  Water lawns, plants, trees, and other vegetation, whether via sprinkler, irrigation system, hand-held nose or water can.

2.  Washing vehicles at any place other than a car wash (business) except in so far necessary for operator safety or to prevent damage and/or maintain performance of agricultural or construction vehicles or equipment.

3.  Refilling swimming pools

4.  Washing of driveways, walks, patios, sidewalks, gutters, except as necessary to apply paint, preservatives, stucco, pavement or cement.
