MILL AND FILL
FOR THE TOWN OF CHESHIRE
CHESHIRE, MA
The Town of Cheshire will accept sealed bids for Mass. Top Bituminous Concrete in the amount of approximately 2106 tons and 18964 sq yds milled 2in. Bid prices shall include all labor, equipment and materials for a complete in-place product on various roads in Town. Specifications are available from the Highway Superintendent at (413) 743-3376, Monday – Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Work shall not proceed until there is a signed contract between the contractor and the Town and certificates of insurance and payment bond have been provided.
Bids should be marked “TOWN OF CHESHIRE ROAD PAVING –MILL AND FILL various roads” and will be received by the TOWN ADMINISTRATOR, until Wedneday October 6, 2021 at 4:00PM E.S.T. at which time they will be publicly opened. Emailed and faxed bids will not be accepted. In the event that Town Hall is closed for any reason, bids will be opened at 12:00 p.m. on the next day that Town Hall is regularly open.
Office hours at the Town Hall are Monday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The Town Hall is closed on Fridays.
All bidders are encouraged to conduct a site visit prior to submitting a bid. Each bidder is responsible for understanding existing project conditions, dimensions, and surroundings.
Wage rates for this bid are subject to prevailing wage rates as per MGL Chapter 149, Section 26‑27f inclusive. Submission of payment sheets shall be completed in compliance with the prevailing wage law.
The Cheshire Selectboard is the awarding authority and reserves the right, directly or through its designee, to waive any informality or technicality, to amend or cancel bids prior to opening, and to set aside or correct awards made as a result of a clerical or typographical error. The Town of Cheshire reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids in total or in part as they may deem to be in the best public interest.
Contractors intending to bid on this project must be prequalified by MASSDOT Highway Division.
