Surplus Property Available for Dispostion

The Town of Cheshire will accept sealed bids for the following pieces of equipment:

2003 International Dump Truck (non-running/parts only)

Dresser Road Grader (non-running/parts only)

York Rake

Building located at the Fr. Tom Campsite (approx. 6 Main St.)

 

Bids should be marked “TOWN OF CHESHIRE DISPOSAL OF CERTAIN PROPERTY” and will be received by the TOWN ADMINISTRATOR, until Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at 4:00PM E.S.T. at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud during the 6:00.M. Selectman’s Meeting.  Emailed and faxed bids will not be accepted.  In the event that Town Hall is closed for any reason, bids will be opened at 12:00 p.m. on the next day that Town Hall is regularly open.

Office hours at the Town Hall are Tuesday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.  The Town Hall is closed on Mondays and Fridays.

All bidders are encouraged to conduct a site visit prior to submitting a bid.  Each bidder is responsible for understanding existing project conditions, dimensions, and surroundings.

All bidders may bid on as many items as they deem appropriate. It is the responsibility of the successful bidder to remove these items solely at their liability, expense, and effortALL PROPERTY IS DISPOSED OF IN “AS-IS” CONDITION. The Town makes no guarantees as to the condition or workability of the property. 

The Cheshire Selectboard is the awarding authority and reserves the right, directly or through its designee, to waive any informality or technicality, to amend or cancel bids prior to opening, and to set aside or correct awards made as a result of a clerical or typographical error.  The Town of Cheshire reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids in total or in part as they may deem to be in the best public interest.
